Holds flywheel in place when removing or replacing the crankshaft bolt. Simply remove the inspection window cover on the transmission, slide the flywheel lock tool through the inspection window until flywheel is engaged for removal of crankshaft.-- GM Duramax 6.6L 2001 & later
